The engine behind these pages: a content directory, nested to any depth, and nothing else.The docs surface reads src/content/docs/ and builds everything else from it.
There is no navigation file to keep in sync: a directory is a section, a
subdirectory is a subsection, and an .mdx file is a page.
Each directory can carry a meta.json:
Everything in it is optional. A directory without one still renders — it sorts
after the ordered ones and takes its label from its own name.

keywords is added to the search index without appearing on the page, which is
where the words a reader would actually type go. github renders the "View on
GitHub" button and resolves against libraryRepo — a design-system docs site
points that at the library it documents.
The tree is read once on the server and handed to both the sidebar and the
command palette, so neither needs a client fetch. Search filters the tree in
place: a group whose children all fail the filter disappears, and one that
survives is forced open, because a collapsed match is not a match.
